1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy covers Skye Shape, operated by Brandon Whittier ("Skye Shape," "we," "us"). Skye Shape is run by Brandon Whittier, an independent licensed health and life insurance broker based in North Carolina (NPN #20140109), licensed in NC, IA, IN, MO, NV, OR, TN and WI. It covers skyeshape.org and its subdomains, the free Skye Shape Academy community on Skool, our forms, surveys, ads, emails, texts and calls.
Diabetic Strength is a separate, complementary community brand run by Brandon Whittier focused on peer support for people living with diabetes. It is free, about support rather than sales, and you never need to buy anything or discuss insurance to take part. Information you share in Diabetic Strength is not used for insurance marketing unless you separately ask us for insurance help and give consent through a Skye Shape form. Where Diabetic Strength collects information through our systems, this policy applies to it as well.
2. Information we collect
- ๐ Ad lead forms (including Google, TikTok and LinkedIn lead forms) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Instant Forms: name, email, phone number, state or ZIP code, your answers to the form's questions (such as the type of coverage you're interested in), your consent choices, and the ad or campaign you came from.
- ๐งญ Pathway Finder survey: contact details, state/ZIP, household size, what kind of help you're looking for, current coverage type, your SMS consent choice, and campaign details (UTM tags).
- ๐ฉบ Optional pre-call health questionnaire: only if you choose to complete it. This may include household members and ages, ZIP code, income range, current coverage, doctors, prescriptions, whether anyone has major health conditions (with a short note), tobacco use, and height and weight. Every question is optional. We treat these answers as sensitive: they are stored in restricted fields, used only to prepare for your call, and never sent by text message.
- ๐ Skool community: the email and membership-question answers you give when joining, which we receive through an automation (Zapier). Skool's own privacy policy also applies to your Skool account.
- ๐ Bookings, calls, texts and emails: appointment details, messages you send us, notes from our conversations, and call recordings (see section 6).
- ๐ป Website and ad technology: cookies, pixels and similar tools (such as the Google tag and Meta Pixel) that record pages visited, form submissions and bookings, so we can measure ads. You can limit this with your browser and ad settings.
2a. Cookies, the Meta Pixel and other tracking
- ๐ช What we use: our survey, booking and landing pages use cookies and similar tools: the Meta Pixel (ID 626299502559095, from Meta Platforms, Inc.), the Google tag, and the cookies our page and form provider (HighLevel/LeadConnector) needs to run forms and bookings.
- ๐ What they record: pages you view, when you start or finish the Pathway Finder survey (a "Lead" event), and when you book a call (a "Schedule" event), plus technical details such as your browser, device and IP address. We do not send your survey answers, health questionnaire answers or health details to Meta or Google.
- ๐ฏ Why: to measure whether our ads work and to show our ads to people who visited our pages or who are similar to them. Meta and Google may combine this with information they already have about you, under their own privacy policies (Meta, Google).
- ๐ซ Your choices: block or delete cookies in your browser, change your Meta ad preferences and Google ad settings, or use industry opt-outs such as optout.aboutads.info. Turning off cookies will not stop you from using the survey or booking a call.
- ๐ Skool: skool.com is run by Skool, which sets its own cookies under its own policy.
3. How we use information
- โ To answer your questions, send the educational resources you asked for, and schedule and hold calls.
- โ To review coverage options with you and, if you choose, help you apply and enroll.
- โ To send the emails and (with consent) texts described when you signed up, including reminders and follow-ups.
- โ To measure and improve our lessons, forms and ads.
- โ To meet legal, licensing, recordkeeping and compliance obligations.
4. How we share information
- ๐ซ We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for others' marketing.
- ๐ค Insurance carriers and partners: only to get quotes, check eligibility, or submit an application or enrollment, and only with your consent. Their own privacy policies apply once they receive your information.
- โ๏ธ Service providers who help us run the business under confidentiality obligations, such as our CRM and texting/email platform (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector), scheduling, Zapier, Skool, Google Workspace, and ad platforms (for measurement only).
- โ๏ธ Legal reasons: when required by law, regulators, or to protect rights and safety.
5. Text messages (SMS)
๐ฒ If you opt in, Skye Shape will text you about your insurance questions, appointments and follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, and HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with, sold or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver the messages.
We only text between 8am and 8pm in your local time. Health information is never sent by text.
6. Call recording
๐ Calls with Skye Shape may be recorded for quality, training, compliance and accurate record-keeping. We will tell you at the start of the call, and you may ask us not to record. Recordings are stored securely and kept only as long as needed for these purposes or as required by law.
7. Your choices: opt out, access and deletion
- โ๏ธ Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- ๐ฒ Texts: reply STOP to any message.
- ๐๏ธ Access, correction or deletion: email [email protected] or text (919) 726-0516 with your request. We'll confirm it's you and respond within 30 days. Some records may be kept where the law or insurance regulations require it.
- ๐ช Ads and cookies: adjust your browser settings and your Google and Meta ad preferences.
8. Security and retention
๐ We use reasonable safeguards, including restricted access to sensitive questionnaire fields. No system is perfectly secure. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
9. Children
Our services are for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children except as provided by a parent or guardian for household coverage.
10. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as to know, correct or delete information). Contact us using section 7.
11. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be posted here.
